Namun sebuah peristiwa seakan mengubah jalan hidupnya. Begitu sang suami tercinta wafat, hartanya yang paling berharga adalah sang putri, yang tak lama kemudian malah didiagnosa mengidap penyakit jantung kritis. Yoon Hee yang kini seorang diri harus berjuang dalam upaya penyembuhan anak semata wayangnya.

Segala upaya telah ditempuh. Mulai dari memasukkan putrinya ke rumah sakit ternama, mencari donor yang sesuai untuk anaknya, sampai menghubungi pasar gelap yang menjual organ tubuh secara ilegal. Sebuah titik terang muncul ketika pasar gelap menyatakan bahwa ada sebuah jantung yang tersedia.

Namun beberapa saat menjelang waktunya operasi transplantasi jantung, tiba-tiba muncul Lee Hee-Do, putra dari wanita paruh baya yang sedang koma. Hee Do menolak menandatangani surat perijinan operasi.Hee Do sebenarnya bukan seorang anak yang baik. Hee Do adalah seorang preman yang bahkan sering menipu ibunya untuk bisa mendapatkan uang lebih.

Tapi ketika tahu bahwa ibunya masuk rumah sakit dan jantungnya akan didonorkan kepada orang lain, Hee Do mulai menyesal dan ingin melindungi ibunya. Tapi Yon Hee tetap hanya memperdulikan keselamatan buah hatinya. Yoon Hee rela membayar beberapa kali lipat agar Hee Do memperbolehkan jantung sang ibu didonorkan. Tak hanya membayar lebih, Yoon Hee bahkan tak segan untuk memohon. Namun Hee Do tetap menutup mata.

Hee Do bahkan mulai curiga perihal pingsannya sang ibu. Apalagi ketika Hee Do mendapati bahwa pingsannya sang ibu bukanlah kecelakaan melainkan sebuah kesengajaan. Ketika Hee Do sedang menyelidiki perihal keadaan sang ibu sampai terkapar koma, Yoon Hee malah menghalalkan segala cara agar transplantasi jantung dapat tetap dilakukan. SINOPSIS

A priest, a woodcutter and another man are taking refuge from a rainstorm in the shell of a former gatehouse called Rashômon. The priest and the woodcutter are recounting the story of a murdered samurai whose body the woodcutter discovered three days earlier in a forest grove. Both were summoned to testify at the murder trial, the priest who ran into the samurai and his wife traveling through the forest just before the murder occurred. Three other people who testified at the trial are supposedly the only direct witnesses: a notorious bandit named Tajômaru, who allegedly murdered the samurai and raped his wife; the white veil cloaked wife of the samurai; and the samurai himself who testifies through the use of a medium. The three tell a similarly structured story - that Tajômaru kidnapped and bound the samurai so that he could rape the wife - but which ultimately contradict each other, the motivations and the actual killing being what differ. The woodcutter reveals at Rashômon that he knows more than he let on at the trial, thus bringing into question his own actions. But another discovery at Rashômon and the resulting actions from the discovery bring back into focus the woodcutter's own humanity or lack thereof.

Yamada Nagamasa, the young Samurai of Edo period, came to be a soldier in the Japanese volunteer regiment in Ayothaya. He fought against a group of Japanese who disguised themselves as the Hongsawadee soldiers and beset Ayothaya with troubles led by "Kuroda Toranaga". Yamada was critically injured and helped by a group of Thai warriors. They, later, vowed to be "bosom friends".
