Plot :
Originally from India, Tamil-speaking Shekar Subramaniam lives a middle-classed life abroad along with his wife, Sonia, and a school-going son, Prateek. While Sonia is busy writing a book on converting all female-related expletives to male, her husband is employed with Barron Industries, where the owner insists his staff come up with a plan to launch the ultimate video game or else he will change his organization to a restaurant and hire them as waiters. Hoping to create a super-hero, Shekhar instead faces criticism from Prateek - who hopes to instead see a kick-ass villain. This conversation does change Shekhar's thinking and he sets about to create an indestructible villain, calls him Ra.one (pronounced as in Lankeshwar Ravan) and its arch-enemy G.One (Jeevan). Mausam Bollywood 2011

Mausam focuses on a proud Punjabi happy-go-lucky boy, Harry. Harry loves to race with the local train, and believes he will surely beat it one day. When he meets his new neighbour, Aayat a muslim girl who is living with her aunt, the two fall in love at first sight. Their friendship and love grows during Harry's older sister Pammo's wedding. On the last day of the wedding Harry asks Aayat if she loves him, she tells him to meet her tomorrow and she will give him an answer. The next day Harry sets out to meet Aayat. He reaches her home only to find that Aayat left overnight with her aunt. Aayat's father was involved in a Kashmir bomb and they had to leave instantly. Harry doesn't know the reason and thinks that Aayat ditched him and doesn't love him. Heartbroken Harry, gets and acceptance into the Air Force and decides to take the offer.

7 years later Aayat is in Scotland at the Academy of Dance and Harry is in Scotland as well on an Air Force exchange. Aayat sees Harry but is hesitant to meet him in the thought that he might not recognise her. Harry sees Aayat walking through the streets of Scotland and makes contact with her. The two realise that they still have feelings for each other and Harry asks her to marry him. Aayat replies that come to my house for dinner and you will get your answer. The next day Harry is on his way to Aayat's house when he gets called on a mission as war has broken out. A lost and heartbroken Aayat longs for Harry and believes that one day he will come back. On the other side Harry is leading a group of pilots to bomb a border, during the mission Harry's plane has a malfunction and has an accident resulting in Harry's left arm being paralyzed. Aayat continues to love and think of Harry and writes him letters to his home.

In her last letter she states that if she doesn't receive a reply she will consider that she has lost him forever. Pammo gives birth to a baby boy and as a wish to her son she asks Harry to find Aayat. Harry agrees and set off to find his love one more time. He sees Aayat at a train station all alone. He runs back only to find her in the train with Akram (her friend) and Akram's son. Harry thinks that Aayat is married to him and the boy is their child. He leaves silently, in pain and heart break. It has been 2 years now and Harry is in Ahmedhbad attending his friends wedding.

Plot :

Mumbai-based Kabir Dhiman, who comes from a wealthy building construction family, proposes to his long-time girlfriend, Natasha, much to the delight of both their respective families. The film is a remake of the Tamil film of the same name. Yunus Sajawal’s screenplay is fast-paced, especially once the drama between Singham and Shikre begins with their first confrontation. The earlier part of the film is devoted to establishing the characters of Singham, his parents, the local people of Shivgad, Shikre, Kavya and her family members who come to Shivgad from Goa, etc. While some portions of this part are very interesting, the other portions, especially the romantic drama between Singham and Kavya, aren’t equally so. Even the romantic portions have their highs and lows – some parts are entertaining, others are less entertaining. The pace picks up once Singham objects to Shikre’s man signing the register at the police station. From there on, the screenplay is so taut and engrossing that there’s not even a second when the viewer would want to take his eyes off the screen. The drama is both, thrilling and entertaining – thrilling because of the high-voltage drama between Singham and Shikre, and entertaining because of the comedy, mainly by Shikre. In other words, Sajawal’s screenplay after the romantic portion is established, is outstanding. Farhad-Sajid’s dialogues are brilliant and many of them will draw thunderous applause from the audience. In fact, each and every confrontation scene between Singham and Shikre is bound to bring the house down, so wonderful are the sequences and so powerful are the dialogues. No doubt, several dialogues are spoken in Marathi but even if they can’t be understood by the non-Marathi speaking population, they will be enjoyed by that section because the context of those dialogues will be clear even without knowledge of the language. Also, the Marathi dialogues don’t come in the way of the comprehension of the drama.

A project coming from the production house of Shahrukh Khan himself with an all young starcast, revolving around four school friends and their problems. This one line description of the film sounds pretty interesting following the current trend of teen movies. And then Shahrukh coming forward to promote the film in full spirits featuring in a peppy music video further raises the expectation level of the viewers to greater heights, especially of Shahrukh's own fans residing all over the world. In fact that was the reason why I eagerly opted for this movie before the other major releases this Friday, to actually see the contribution made by The KING himself in the movie as per the reports. Unable to get any clues, he than enlists the assistance of Sameer to recruit a bait, Reshma, who comes from an impoverished family, for the killer. Shortly thereafter Reshma goes missing, and Arjun loses contact with her. Guilt-ridden, he decides to use all possible resources to try and locate her before she herself becomes included in the official 'missing persons' list.

Murder 2, the much anticipated sequel is surprisingly very different to the original Murder. If you want to watch this film for its erotic aspect alone, you'll be somewhat disappointed with the lack of originality as several recent Bollywood flicks have turned sex into an over-rated, oversold theme. However the serial-killer dimension is a novelty - all the blood, gore, darkness and intimidation blends into a perfect plot to literally scare the living daylights out of you, pun intended. This movie is clearly a popcorn fest and recommended to be seen when you have been bored like hell or had a very bad day at the workplace. Please don't watch if your mood is cheerful - Murder 2 is far too disturbing. An A certificate is justified and children should be prevented from coming close to a DVD release.

As for the performances, every actor played his/her part quite well. Jacqueline looks beautiful, Emraan comes sharp-witted with his dialogue delivery but the real scene stealer was Prashant Narayan who brought great conviction and authenticity to his serial killer role. He should undoubtedly win some kind of Best villain award.
